BEESTAR

Privacy Policy for Polar Purr

In short: Polar Purr is a game for all ages. You do not need an account. Beestar runs no server for the game and does not collect your personal information. The game keeps its save file on your device. On iPhone and iPad, optional cloud save uses your own Apple game account. The game shows ads from Google AdMob, which we set up for children: the ads are not personalised and the game does not use an advertising ID. We do not track you and we do not sell data.

한국어

1. What stays on your device

The game stores a save file in its private storage on your phone or tablet. It holds your progress (cleared fishing spots, caught fish, records, Logbook stamps, Daily results), pearls and items, your aquarium, your settings (language, sound, vibration, reminders and similar), the names and short lines you type for your pet fish, whether you bought Supporter, small counters used to pace ads (for example how many boards you finished and when the last full-screen ad was shown), and two technical values: a random installation number and a one-way hash of your device's identifier that is used only on the device to notice a save copied to another phone. This file is not sent to Beestar. Deleting the app deletes it (your phone's own backup may keep a copy under your own account).

2. No account, no data sent to us

The game does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, birthday or location, and it has no chat, friends list or public profile. Beestar receives no information from the game. The names and lines you type for your pets are checked on the device and stay on the device and in your own cloud save (section 3); they are never sent to us.

3. Cloud save through your game account (optional)

On iPhone and iPad the game can keep your save in Game Center saved games, which Apple stores in your iCloud. You choose whether to sign in to Game Center. The copy goes to your Apple account, not to Beestar; Apple's privacy policy applies to it. The cloud copy contains the same progress as the save file, including pet names and lines you typed, but not the device-only values in section 1.

The Android version has no cloud save. To remove a cloud save on iPhone or iPad, use the Game Center / iCloud storage settings for Polar Purr.

4. Purchases

The game offers one optional purchase, "Supporter", a one-time purchase that removes ads. Apple or Google handles the payment and the receipt. We never see your payment card or billing details; the game only learns whether the purchase exists so it can turn ads off. "Restore purchases" in Settings asks your store again.

5. Ads (Google AdMob)

The game is free and shows ads through Google AdMob: a full-screen ad after a finished puzzle (not during a puzzle and not right after you open the app), an optional ad you choose to watch for a bonus, and a banner on some menu screens. There is a Supporter purchase to remove them.

Because the game is for all ages, we treat every player as a child for advertising: we tell Google that the app is child-directed and that users are under the age of consent, we limit ads to the "G" content rating, and we request non-personalised ads only. The game does not show a consent form or an App Tracking Transparency prompt, does not use the advertising identifier on iOS and removes the advertising-ID permission on Android. We do not use mediation partners: only Google serves the ads.

When an ad is requested, Google's ad software in the game may receive technical information, for example your device's IP address (which can indicate a general location), how you interact with the ad (launch, taps, video views), performance and diagnostic information, and identifiers that do not require an advertising-ID permission. Google uses this to serve and measure ads, to prevent fraud and to run its service. Google decides the details; they are described in Google's own pages:

Beestar does not receive this data.

6. Reminders (optional)

If you say yes, the game schedules local notifications on your device, for example when your fish are hungry or the food is full. They are created and shown by your device. There is no push server and no notification token. At most two a day, never between 22:00 and 08:00. You can turn them off in the game's Settings or in your phone's notification settings.

7. Sharing

When you share a picture, an animated GIF or a Daily result, the game opens your phone's share sheet and you choose where it goes. The game writes the file to its temporary storage only and does not ask for access to your photos. Pet names appear in a shared picture only if you choose to show them. What you send to others is then handled by the app or person you chose.

8. What we do not do

We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services in the game. We do not use your data for tracking across apps or websites. We do not sell or rent data. We do not build advertising profiles. The game has no social features. Its only link to an outside website is the "Privacy Policy" row in Settings, which opens this page in your browser after you confirm.

9. Children

Polar Purr is a general-audience game that is built so that children can play it safely: no account, no chat, no personal information collected by us, child-directed non-personalised ads, and no links out of the game except the privacy policy link in Settings, which asks before it opens your browser. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents who have questions can write to info@beestar.io. Purchases are confirmed by the Apple or Google store; parents can use the store's parental controls (for example Ask to Buy or Family Link) to restrict them.

10. Your rights and choices

Because Beestar holds no personal information about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on our side. You can delete the local data by deleting the app, remove a cloud save in your platform settings, turn reminders off, and decline cloud sign-in. For data that Google or Apple process under their own policies, use their privacy tools. If you think we hold something about you, write to info@beestar.io and we will answer within 10 days.

Depending on where you live, additional rules apply:

11. Security

The save file lives in the app's private storage. Network traffic of the ad and store services uses encrypted connections (TLS).

12. Changes

If the game changes in a way that affects this policy (for example a new feature that sends data), we will update this page and the "last updated" date before the new version is released, and describe the change in the changelog below.
